1Consent first#
- Only message people who have given you valid consent, or with whom you have an existing relationship that lawfully permits the message.
- Record how and when consent was obtained (the customer record has a consent-source field for this). Do not upload purchased, rented or scraped lists.
- Promotional messages must identify the sender and the purpose clearly and must not be misleading.
2TRAI and telecom regulations (SMS and calls)#
- You must comply with the Telecom Commercial Communications Customer Preference Regulations (TCCCPR), 2018 and related TRAI directions in force from time to time.
- Send commercial SMS only through the registered entity, headers and templates required under the regulations (DLT registration of sender ID, content templates and consent), where applicable to your use.
- Screen your contact lists against the National Do Not Call (NDNC) / Do Not Disturb preference registry before sending promotional SMS or placing promotional calls. Do not send promotional messages to numbers registered for that preference, unless you hold the specific, verifiable consent the regulations allow.
- Respect permitted sending hours for promotional communications and honour opt-out requests promptly.
3WhatsApp#
WhatsApp messaging must follow the WhatsApp Business Messaging and Commerce policies, including opt-in before sending business-initiated messages, approved message templates, and honouring opt-outs. We may suspend WhatsApp sending for accounts that draw complaints or platform enforcement.
4Email#
- Every campaign email carries an unsubscribe link; do not remove or disable it. Unsubscribed contacts are suppressed automatically on that channel and must not be re-added without fresh consent.
- Use a truthful sender name and subject line, and do not send to role accounts or purchased lists.
- Keep bounce and complaint rates low. High rates may lead to throttling or suspension.
5Suppression and opt-outs#
SprigoCRM maintains a per-account suppression list for people who unsubscribe or whom you mark as unsubscribed, and skips them on future sends. Process opt-out requests received by any other route (reply, call, support) by marking the contact as unsubscribed in the Customers screen without delay.
6Enforcement#
We monitor for abuse. If we detect or receive credible complaints of spam, we may pause sending, require you to demonstrate consent, suspend or terminate the account, and cooperate with regulators and telecom providers. You are liable for any penalties, blocking or charges imposed on us as a result of your messaging.
7Report spam#
If you received an unwanted message sent through SprigoCRM, write to sprigocrm@gmail.com with the message details. You can also report promotional SMS through your telecom provider's complaint process or the TRAI-prescribed channels.
