Last updated 3 October 20266 sections

This policy sets out what may and may not be uploaded to or sent through SprigoCRM. It forms part of our Terms of Service and is published as required of an intermediary under the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the IT (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.

The short version

A plain-language summary — the full text below is what applies.

  • 1

    No unlawful or harmful content

    Nothing defamatory, obscene, infringing, deceptive or malicious may be uploaded or sent.

  • 2

    No spam, no scraped lists

    Don’t message people without a lawful basis, and don’t upload purchased or harvested contact lists.

  • 3

    Report and we’ll act

    Email us to report content. Breaches can mean removal, suspension or termination.

1Prohibited content#

You must not upload, store, transmit or send content that:

  • is unlawful, defamatory, obscene, pornographic, paedophilic, invasive of another's privacy, harassing, or hateful on grounds of religion, caste, gender, race or ethnicity;
  • threatens the unity, integrity, defence, security or sovereignty of India, public order, or incites an offence;
  • infringes any patent, trademark, copyright or other proprietary right;
  • impersonates another person or misleads recipients about its origin, or is knowingly false and intended to deceive;
  • contains malware, viruses or code designed to disrupt or gain unauthorised access to any system;
  • is otherwise harmful to minors or violates any law in force in India.

2Prohibited conduct#

  • Sending unsolicited bulk messages or messages to contacts you have no lawful basis to message (see our Anti-Spam & Telecom Policy).
  • Uploading purchased, scraped or harvested contact lists without valid consent.
  • Phishing, fraud, pyramid schemes, illegal gambling, or promoting prohibited goods and services.
  • Probing, scanning or testing the vulnerability of the service, bypassing rate limits or security controls, or interfering with other users.
  • Sharing accounts in a way that circumvents seat limits, or using the API in a way that degrades service for others.

3Intermediary status and safe harbour#

SprigoCRM is an intermediary: customers, not SprigoCRM, originate and control the content they store and send. We rely on the conditional exemption from liability for intermediaries under Section 79 of the Information Technology Act, 2000, and we observe due diligence by publishing these rules, not initiating transmission or selecting recipients of customer messages, and acting on lawful notices.

4Reporting and takedown#

If you believe content on the platform violates this policy or the law, report it by email to sprigocrm@gmail.com. On receiving actual knowledge — through a court order or a notification from an appropriate government authority, or a valid complaint — we will act expeditiously, which may include removing or disabling access to the content and suspending the account concerned. Where possible we preserve records as required by law and may assist lawful investigations.

5Enforcement#

Breaches may result in removal of content, suspension of sending, suspension or termination of the account without refund, and reporting to the authorities. We may act without prior notice where necessary to protect users, the platform or the law.
